1b. Providence - Emily Sisson Sophomore 14th at NCAA meet last year for Wisconsin and set 5k AJR.  Eligible transfer already competed this year for Providence and reemergence of sophomore Laura Nagel from New Zealand.  10th at Roy Griak last year, but injuries limited her to Northeast Region meet (25th - #5 runner)

3, Colorado - Will Emma Coburn run after competing at world championships in the 3,000 meter steeplechase final.  The senior was the #3 runner (53rd NCAA meet, 11th at Mountain Region), Catrina McAlister Freshman won Stanford last year (17:15.40 5k XC, 10:24.85 3200 in 2010), Rachel Baptista Freshman already impressed coach Wetmore after winning the time trial in 21:45, :25 faster than last year's winner, #6 runner Rachel Viger at the NCAA meet.  Laura Helgis is a transfer from Brown,.  Potential very helpful transfer sophomore Jana Stolting from University of San Francisco (14th at West region meet) - not sure if she is eligible this year.  Redshirt sophomore Allie McLaughlin is training again after injuries took her out of last year after she was 5th at the 2009 NCAA meet.

4. New Mexico - Ruth Senior has senior year left (33rd '10 NCAA XC) and Laura Oeding rJr 2008 11th Mt Region

5. Stanford - Patti Sue Plummer takes over as women's distance/cross country coach.  Aisling Cuffe Freshman 1st at Footlocker last year, 16:40.90 5k XC and 9:56.85 2-mile.  Kathy Kroeger was fifth at the West Region meet and Stanford's #1 runner but was injured and could not run at the NCAA meet.  Five more potential impact freshmen Alli Billmeyer 17:25.00 5k XC, Julia Foster 17:39.26 5k XC, Aimee Trujillo 17:10.70 3m XC, and injury ravaged Chelsey Sveinsson 2nd '09 FL and 1st in '08, 16:53 5k XC, 10:04.85 2-m #1 US HS in '09

6. Villanova - Waiting to see team this year to see who 4-5 runners are and who is developing on the team behind top-3 of Reid, Mimic, and Lipari

7. Florida State - Had to replace 1,2 and #5 runners from 2010 NCAA runner-up.  Hannah Brooks rSr ran 1,500 at NCAA meet but not run Cross Country, Violah Lagat Jr transfer from Central Arizona, Kayliegh Tyerman runner from Crater high school in Oregon and transfered from Cal Poly, Colleen Quigley Freshmen 20th at Footlocker, 17:38.10 5k XC and  Aubree Worden Freshmen 2nd in US Jr 1,500 meters last year and 10:27.73 3200.

8. Arizona - #1 runner in other meets Jr Jennifer Bergman, was #4 at NCAA meet. Stephanie Bulder Freshmen 22nd NXN, 17:46 5k XC and Haley Stenquist Freshmen 10:37.31 3200.

9. Duke - Trio of Freshmen should help team - Lindsey Olivere 17:23.13 5k XC, Chloe Maleski 17:48.90 5k XC, and Colleen Schmidt 10:25.22i 2-m where she finished second at NBN indoors

10. Oregon - Allie Woodard Freshman - first year of full-year running - 6th FL, 14th NXN, 17:18.60 5k XC, 10:11.48 3200, Bronwyn Crossman Senior '11 NC 10k finalist, slowed last year by physical ailments until track season, Claire Michel Senior missed all of '10 summer running due to cast for broken ankle, Lanie Thompson rSo - used year previous to recover from hip ailiment until '10 XC then '11 steeple all-American, Anne Kesselring Jr 103rd 2009 NCAA, Kimber Mattox rSr transfer from Willamette University, 4x DIII a-a, 35th '10 DIII XC, Molly Grabill Freshman 9th '10 FL, 17:31 5k XC, 10:19.17 3200, Sarah Penney Jr missed most of last year due to injury 

11. Washington - Megan Goethals only ran at Notre Dame and had to take rest of season off.  All-American indoors and outdoors last year on the track.  

12. Iowa State - Lost Jr Alphine Tuliamuk (13th 2010 NCAA) to Wichita State, Senior Dani Stack DNF at '10 NCAA XC but later ran in NCAA 10k final

13. Texas - returns top 6 

14. North Carolina - Annie LeHardy Freshmen 26th NXN and 17:24.40 5k XC

16. Duke - Trio of Quality Frosh - Lindsey Olivere 17:23.13 5k XC, Chloe Maleski 17:48.90 5k XC, Colleen Schmidt 10:34.46 2-mile #11 US HS, and returns top 6 from 2011 NCAA

17. Syracuse - Added two quality freshmen but lost top two runners - Shaylyn Tutie and Jessie Petersen 16:51.71 5k XC #7 US HS and 17:34 5k XC

18. Michigan - Brook Handler freshman 18th '10 FL and 17:00.20 5k XC

19. Boston College- Brittany Winslow Freshman - 10th NXN, 16:51 5k XC '09
