[Women's Cross Country] Women's Cross Country Season Up and Running for 2008 Season with New Faces!

Comments
In an effort to continue to compete at the highest AAC level, Coach Jose Larios has announced the addition of 11 new cross country and track & field athletes to his 2008 rosters. With the recruiting process still in full swing, Larios believes this batch of recruits will continue to build upon this year's success.

This past season, the Cavaliers made a solid impact in the conference by having three runners on the All-AAC Freshman Cross Country Team, while Talisa Bishop earned 1st Team All-AAC honors; Bishop also earned a trip to the NAIA National Cross Country Championships and earned her personal best cross country mark of 18:51. During the 2008 track campaign, Montreat was represented at the NAIA Track & Field Championships by four great athletes.

Our small girls' team had the highest GPA of all athletic teams and their 3rd place conference placing was a great feat for them," said Head Coach Jose Larios.  "These new recruits will be expected to follow the lead of this year's team.  They will add much desperately needed depth, and experience to our team as well."
