Meb Keflezighi Says Experience Will Be Key in LA Olympic Trials MarathonPublished by USA Today on November 17, 2015 Sixteen days after finishing seventh in the New York marathon, Meb Keflezighi tested a part of the Los Angeles course that will host the 2016 U.S. Olympic marathon trials. The 40-year-old three-time Olympian ran the six-mile loop Tuesday that passes the University of Southern California (“I went to the other school,” Keflezighi joked of his alma mater UCLA). “It’s really good, it’s a fairly flat course. It should be fast,” said Keflezighi, who won the 2004 Olympic silver medal in Athens and finished fourth at the 2012 London Games. “You have to be cautious going up toward the Staples Center where the start and finish is. The grade of incline – it could be fine going one way and then not so fast going the other way. So you have to use your fuel very effectively.” Read the full article at: www.usatoday.com
