As the season gets underway, a few more athletes have started their season up. On the girl's side, Karen Henning (St. Anthony's, South Huntington, NY) debuted in fourth position with a personal best throw of 53'04.00". Melissa Kurzdorfer (Lancaster, NY) also came within inches of the national lead with her improvement of 57'06.25" last week.
Dominic Filiano (Lebanon, NH) also opened his season in second position with a throw of 65'04.00". Last year, Filiano nearly broke the 70 foot barrier.
