MOUNT DESERT ISLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER)--Gary Allen will be leaving on January 7 from Cadillac Mountain heading to Washington D.C.  Allen plans to accomplish a 700 mile run in just two weeks. Allen will average 50 miles per day and plans on arriving in time for the Presidential Inauguration.  Allen has completed 86 marathons and is the director of the MDI Marathon.  Allen will raise money for "The Wounded Warriors Project", "The American Cancer Society", and for victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary Shooting.  Allen hopes not just to raise money but to inspire people to have the courage to get out and run.  Follow Allen on his run to Washington DC.
