Interview With Maize Zamblowski of Chittenango High School @ Colgate University, Sec III

As Maize Zamblowski approached the Head To Toe Athletics stand at Colgate University, she seemed excited and anxious to start her events. More than the excitement, she was full of pride for being a part of her team for Chittenango High School and being able to make a difference by competing in Triple Jump and Long Jump. I found this would be a great opportunity to ask Maize some questions about herself and the event she is involved in because of the happiness that was spread across her face for a sport she loved…

Q: What events are you partaking in today?

A: Long Jump/Triple Jump (with a quite excited tone)

Q: What High School are you representing?

A: Chittenango High school

Q: Do you compete in both outdoor and indoor and which do you like better?

A: Outdoor better but indoor = faster & warmer, more relaxing

Q: What events do you participate in Outdoor Track?

A: Outdoor – Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault

Q: How do you do a triple jump? Is it any different from Long jump?

A:  Pretty much the same except triple jump is 3 steps before jumping. You have to use your right foot twice then the left one before jumping.

Q: And what is your record for the triple jump & long jump

A:  Triple jump is 28.4 & Long jump is 14.8
