Who I Am...

I am a distance runner by trade, marathon runner by profession. Currently I train with the Hanson's Brooks Distance Project in Rochester, Michigan. I have been running with the group since August of 2004. Since May of August of 2005 I have worked as an Exercise Physiologist at William Beaumont- Troy. Since June 2006, I have been the owner and head coach for Hanson's Coaching Services, LLC.

Thanks for checking this out and I hope to keep this updated!

Online Coaching

Hanson's Coaching Services offers several online coaching options. Since 2006, I have coached dozens of runners from all ability levels. Coaching a runner is a significant commitment for both parties, the runner and the coach. If you sign up for one of the coaching options, you will recieve the following:

1. Training packet of 75+ pages of information ranging from definitions of training to incorporating resistance training into your training program. These packets are continually being updated.

2. Unlimited email access. I have found that it's usually easier for a runner to send an email, rather than make an appointment for a phone call. However, phone calls are certainly part of the coaching process.

3. Access to an online training log. I stongly encourage my runners to use this as a tool for them, but also a visual for me. If someone needs advice or a change in schedule, then I need to be able to see what their training has actually been!

The best beneift from the online coaching is the communication, both the regular communication, but also the ability to change a schedule as life changes.

If you sign up for coaching, you'll be directed to a training profile and a link to download the training packet. If you have any problems, feel free to email me- humphrey.luke@yahoo.com

12 week online coaching: With this option, you will recieve 12 weeks of online coaching. This is a great option for someone feeling out the process, or just need a helping hand for a major race!

24 week online coaching: An option for those looking for a long term commitment to a training program. Great for someone looking for long term progression in their running. There are two options; the one-time payment and a monthly subscription.
