I have been a competative distance runner for nearly half my life. I would like to consider mysef a decent runner but I will leave that to the critics. I owe much of my success to the people I ran with in high school- Sam Jackson, Johnathan Lewis, John W, Jeff Wood, Matt Dewalt, Gabe Carreras, Justin White, Jason Panek (whom I ran with since elementary school), Rick Stevens, Kevin Ward, John Berios, Johnny Goertz, Tyson, Lewis Jones and his brother Lurch, THE Hausers (although they were more of inspiration), Pete Garrison (that guy who puked in the middle of a tempo run and told the freshman next to him to stop walking), Kevin Rehak, Anthony Kaim, Andy "superman" Gardener, "that Canadian guy" Jeremy, Kris "The Crazy Mexican" Cuellar,  and of course the "old dogs" like Daniel Oates and Ian Wiese who would not let me settle for less than what I was capable of . . . list goes on and on (i.e. dont be mad if I left you out, bc you know who you are!) Of course the list is not complete without the most inspiring person and best coach I ever had, Coach Simpson. Well now that the Nostalgia is complete, I just wanted to create this site as a way for us to communicate and do some running, partying, drinking, golfing, ultimate frisbee, football etc. For those of you who were not a part of the "Hauser Era", of which I was lucky enough to catch the tail end of, all those "old guys" who's pictures litter the walls in the locker room- those are the men who set the standard for which Kingwood distance running stands on. It is your burden to carry that excellence forward. SO, HIYC, Hang IF You Can or get out of the way!
