NC Indoor state meet to be held "Outdoors" in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE - The N.C. High School Athletic Association's state indoor track meets are coming to Fayetteville for one year, but at an outdoor facility.
Que Tucker, deputy commissioner of the association, confirmed Tuesday that John Daskal Stadium at Reid Ross Classical School will host the 2011 state indoor track meets for 4-A and 3-A/2-A/1-A.
The meet is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12.
The one-year move to an outdoor facility for the indoor meet was forced by unusual circumstances at the University of North Carolina, which has the state's only indoor track facility. That building is being used to store equipment formerly housed in a building at UNC's Kenan Stadium.
