Women's Olympic 1500 Champ Reportedly Fails Drug Test
If report is true, Asli Cakir Alptekin could face lifetime ban.

Turkey’s London Olympic 1500-meter gold medalist Asli Cakir Alptekin has tested positive 
for a banned substance, the Chinese news agency Xinhua is reporting. New Zealand sources 
have also reported the positive test.

Hours after the reports surfaced, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the 
International Association of Athletics Federation tweeted that no official announcement 
of Alptekin failing a test have been made.
