Decathlete Jamie Adjetey-Nelson, javelin thrower Scott Russell and 800-metre specialist Andrew Ellerton were named to Canada's 32-member team Thursday for the 13th World Track and Field Championships, which run Aug. 27 to Sept. 4 in Daegu, South Korea.

"This meet is second only to the Olympics. No one skips this meet.

"If you're trying to be an Olympic champion, the next thing is a world champion."
