UF's LaCaze pulls off unprecedented track trifecta

During her four years at Florida, Genevieve LaCaze has shown time and again that she is willing to go the distance for the Gators.

Where: University of North Florida (Jacksonville).
Gators in the field: Twenty-one UF men and 24 women will be looking to advance to the NCAA championship rounds in Des Moines, Iowa, in two weeks.
This started even before she ran her first cross-country race or competed in her first 3,000-meter steeplechase at UF. It began with her decision to travel halfway around the world — from Queensland, Australia to Gainesville — to become a Gator.
“It's a long way,” the senior said.
