Local athletes shine at Peel high school track and field event

 

TROUBLE ON THE TRACK:. It was mayhem in the first 50 metres of the junior boys 3,000 metres of the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association track and field championships at St. Marcellinus track Friday as almost the entire Chinguacousy team was taken down when Sandeep Prabhikar fell. There were several outstanding performances from Brampton athletes during day two of the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) track and field championships at St. Marcellinus Secondary School in Mississauga. 
Athletes from Peel schools competed over two Fridays with a berth in the South  Regional Track and Field Championships in St. Catharines,  on the line and a trip to the Ontario finals one step closer. The regional meet began today and wraps up tomorrow.
