NORMAL – For Illinois State junior javelin thrower Tim Glover, winning last year’s NCAA Division I national championship was just the beginning.
Coming into ISU, Glover was hoping to make the 2016 Olympics. That timeline has been accelerated.
“I believe I’ve already qualified for the trials,” Glover said. “I’m less than 2 meters away from hitting the ‘A’ Standard, which would send me to the Olympics this year.”
Glover is in elite company at Illinois State. He holds two of the top three javelin throws in school history. The third is held by his father, Robert Glover.
