Hammond excited about OFSAA debut

One year ago, an unfortunate break – literally – cost Sarah Hammond her first shot at the all-Ontarios.
But barring any unforeseen difficulties this week, the 16-year-old St. Basil standout will make her Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) track-and-field debut.
The annual three-day provincial meet begins Thursday in Brockville, Ont., and Hammond, who fractured her right ankle during warmups at last year’s OFSAA championships in Sudbury, is raring to go.
