Turner capped her high school career by placing third at the CIF state meet in 2 minutes, 9.75 seconds. That came after winning the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 title in a season-best 2:10.81, making her seventh in the state and 26th in the nation. Her time at the CIF-SS Masters Meet was 2:11.95. The 5-foot-7, 123-pounder is headed to Long Beach State. Turner enjoys hiking, surfing, going to the beach with friends, snowboarding and reading. She enjoys watching "Modern Family," "New Girl" and Harry Potter movies. Her favorite band is Young the Giant and she likes eating cheeseburgers and fries.
