Some Athletes Chafe Under USOC Guidelines

U.S. Olympians face penalties if they ignore guidelines on marketing during the Olympics.

A series of rules designed to limit outside marketing during the Olympics have created a backlash among track and field athletes.

The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has increased its penalties against athletes wearing non-official sponsor apparel during high-visibility portions of the Olympic Games, including the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, and all medal stand appearances.
