Up-and-coming professional triathlete Lukas Verzbicas crashed while riding his bike outside of Colorado Springs, Colo. on Tuesday, July 31. Triathlete.com’s Bob Babbitt spoke with Verzbicas’ mother, Rasa, who said that he is in intensive care with a broken collar bone, blood in his lungs and will need surgery on his back.
