Reed HS Soph Gabby Williams clears 6' 1 1/2" in the girls high jump.

On a clear calm spring moring (for Northern Nevada standards), Gabby Williams once again did her thing.. first clearing the bar at 6' 1/2" then moving to 6' 1 1/2" as seen here.  (I have a plcture of her clearing 6' 1/2" but decided to move to get a better angle and lighting for the shot.)

In the background to the left is the USA Track and Field official with tape measure.

And just behind Gabby as she cleared the bar in the grey t-shirt is the mobile stadium announcer with microphone in hand. (he needs to get some better looking gear than a grey t-shirt if he wants in on my pics Foot in mouth)

Fortunately for me, there was a lull in the action between the first track event, the boys and girls 3200m relay at 9:00 and 9:15 respectively, and the next event at 11:00 and 11:10  for the boys and girls 110m hurdles, the girls high jump got my undivided attention.  What a golden opportunity to photograph a special talent in her moment of greatness and many more to come.   Thank you Gabby.

Gabby went on to win the two other events -- 100m hurdles at 14.16 for yet another stadium record and 300m hurdles with a PR.
