The film was well received from the audience playing at the Running Film Festival in Eugene during the Olympic Trials.  The audience consisted of distinguished guests such as Olympic Coach Joe Vigil, Joe Henderson, Craig Virgin and many others who praised the the film.  In attendance was the Director/Producer Matthew Arnold and Producer/Director of Photography Brady Hallongren and former athletes from the film.  Check out the review on milesplit.com.

Yes, the film is coming to Eugene as part of the Running Film Festival and we're very excited to be invited.  Matthew Arnold (Director & Producer), Brady Hallongren (Director of Photography & Producer) and the Dettman Twins Matt & Eric (subjects of the film & UO Cross Country & Track runners) will be attending the screening for a Q & A.  We hope that everyone can attend the screening on July 3rd (time & location to be announced soon) to kick off the film to the running community.  We look forward to seeing everyone and we hope that everyone will enjoy the film.  Once the schedule is released we'll announce all the details and ways that you can be involved in helping us bring this story to everyone.  Thank you for everyones support and we look forward to Eugene.

Wins Best Feature Documentary at the Lake Forest Film Festival

The theater was full for the debut of The Long Green Line at the Lake Forest Film Festival in the Chicago area.  The distinguished judges chose the film to be honored as the Best Feature Documentary of the film festival.  The director Matthew Arnold and Coach Joe Newton were present for a lively Q&A after the film.  With this success the film will continue on the film festival circuit to expose as large an audience to the sport of cross country.  More film festivals and screenings will be announced along with it arriving in Eugene this summer.  We thank everyone for all of there continued support.

The Long Green Line – the feature length documentary film about York High School cross country coach Joe Newton has scheduled a Chicago area premiere on April 20th.  The film will be in competition at the Lake Forest Film Festival, hosted by Lake Forest College.
