Former Chamberlain High track and field star Dentarius Locke says he is enrolling at Florida State and considering legal action against the University of Tennessee after the Southeastern Conference school informed him this week it has refused to grant him a full release from his athletic scholarship.
“I’m not saying Tennessee is a terrible place to be but in my case, I think what they have decided is unfair and (legal action) is something I’m definitely going to look into,” said Locke, who was named SEC freshman runner of the year last season. “At the same time, I’m looking forward to being at FSU and being part of a great school and a great track program.”
