Who I Am...

Hi I am Coach Riddle and welcome to myspace.  I am the head girls Cross Country and Track and Field Coach at Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.  I  have been coaching the Track program for the past four years but recently took over the cross country program as well.

I grew up in Blaine, Washington and was a high school varsity athlete in volleyball, basketball and track and field.  My speciality in track was throwing.  My passion for throwing eventually lead me to earn a track and field scholarship at the University of Utah.  As a Ute, I excelled as an indoor weight thrower and earned all Mountain West
Conference honors twice in 2004 and 2007.  During the 2004 season I also set the school record in the discus throw at a meet at the University of Oregon.

After earning my degree in Physical Education I accepted a position at Desert Pines High School as a physical education teacher.  Since then I have spent the past four years building a cohesive coaching staff and program.  When the head cross country coaching position opened up at the end of the school 2010 school year I immediately jumped on the position.  Being the head cross country coach has allowed my to train and work with my track athletes almost year round and I hope to see some dramatic improvements as they progress this year.
