Boulder Marathon Postponed Due to FloodsPublished by
The Denver Triathlon has been canceled and the Boulder Marathon has been postponed because of the region's weather trauma over the past week. Both were scheduled for next Sunday. The triathlon was originally scheduled for June 9, and was postponed then because of low registration numbers. Race director Chris Laskey announced the cancellation Sunday, proposing that the 800 athletes registered for the event consider volunteering to assist in clean-up efforts from the storms instead of racing. "My thoughts have been with those that have been gravely affected by these floods, and it is my thought that as a community, triathletes should be able to come together and make a difference in the lives of their neighbors who have been affected," Laskey said.
