For the past two weeks, we’ve previewed the high school and collegiate cross country seasons, tackling nine burning questions about the national-level individual and team races. This fall promises to be a memorable one, as close races should be had across the board in national competition.

While we know what we’re looking forward to most this fall, and will be covering it week in and week out for you from now until December, we want to turn this final, tenth question to you.

Are you excited to see who wins the women’s individual title at the NCAA Cross Country Championships or if Edward Cheserek can repeat as NXN individual champion? Are you excited to see if Fayetteville-Manlius can finish on top at NXN once more or if Wisconsin can repeat as NCAA men’s team champion?

Maybe you are looking forward to your conference meet, where you hope to finish all-conference. Or maybe you’re excited for the large, mid-season invitational, hoping to run a new PR. Cross country is a season full of surprises. They happen every weekend, all across the nation. It’s an exciting time. It’s a suspenseful time. Quite frankly, it’s the best season to be a distance runner.

So, what are you looking forward to most this fall?
