1968 Lockport 100mile relay team - Coaches: John Chew & Max Lederer - 8 man team members: Top L-R Bobby Brown, Brian Brooks, Jim Rycyna, Charlie Quagliana. Bottom L-R Franklyn Pfeil, George Bickford, Jeff Watkins, Jeff Hulshoff.
Time: 7:27:55.6 (sub-4:30 pace)
Each runner completed 12.5 miles in continuous relay order exchanging baton in intervals of 440, 220, & 110 yards on a 440 yard cinder track.
This record is verified by the State of New York and US Congress, and is the current world record recorded in book of "Alternative Records" for 100mile relay x (up to 10 runners). It remains the fastest recorded running time of any relay for 100 miles.
