For those of you that will be checking emails in the morning.... Our first track meet is today and I am super excited. The meet is at Sweet Home High School. The address is 1641 Long Street, Sweet Home, OR 97386. Please try to have the kids there by 10am. The meet begins at 10:30am. The softball throw and long jump will operate as "Open Pit," from 10:30am - 12:15pm. This means athletes of all grades can and must take there 3 attempts anytime between 10:30am and 12:15pm. All pits close promptly at 12:15pm. High Jump schedule will run as follows: 3rd graders from 10:30am - 11:15pm, 4th grade from 11:15am - 12:00pm, and 5th grade from 12:00pm - 12:45pm. Running events will begin at 10:30am on a rolling schedule. The running events will be in the following order: 2nd grade 50m dash, 400m dash - 2nd grade first, 3rd second, 4th third, and then fifth, 100m dash - same as 100m dash, 800m - 5th grade only (usually there is quite a bit of leniency at these meets and will allow other grades to compete), 200m dash - same as 400m dash, and then all grades for the 4x100m relays. 

I am very much looking forward to seeing how all of the kids do tomorrow and having tons of fun with all of our athletes. It will be a great day of track and field! See you all in the morning!
