1. Georgetown
Only fourth at Paul Short even though they missed two of top three and three of top four.

2. Providence
Two of top five did not run well at Paul Short but still won

3. Colorado
Coburn and McLoughlin yet to run this year and may not, team would drop without them

4. Stanford
Took weekend off but pre-nationals will show their strength and new depth

5. Villanova
Second at Paul Short without Reid

6. Florida State
Developing runners showed well at Notre Dame

7. New Mexico

8. Arizona
Expected to perform at championship season

9. Oregon
Penney is finally healthy and adds to Duck depth

10. Iowa State
Griak winners keep up Cyclone tradition

11. Washington
Huskies need to get everyone running well to keep position, maybe it will be at end of season like last year

12. Duke
Still missing top two runners, expect them to show at championship season

13. Texas
Won home competition and continued to show developing depth

14. North Carolina
Depth developing, Schaaf always performs well at the end of the season

15. Princeton
If Fluehr twins run, Princeton deserves this ranking, otherwise not in top 20

16. West Virginia
If depth can develop they can move into the top-10

17. Syracuse
Top runners all ran at Paul Short but in spite of third place finish they did not impress

18. BYU
Morgan Haws continuing to prove herself a strong #1 runner

19. California
Strong run at Griak (2nd) needs another run against complete teams to prove higher ranking

20. Michigan
Developing depth without top runner showing up running yet.
