September 13-15 NCAA DI Summary - NCAA DI Cross Country

The biggest activity of the weekend was what turned out to be a dual between the BYU and Portland Men and Women.  In a tight battle the #4 BYU Cougars beat the #8 University of Portland 25 to 33 points as BYU's Tylor Thatcher had his first collegiate win over a just under 8k race.  See More

The #1 Oklahoma State men ran at the inaugural Bluegrass Invitational but most of their top runners sat out the race and lost to #11 Eastern Kentucky

The #1 Providence women dominated the Wolfie Invitational as Emily Sisson led the Friars with the first three finishers .  Providence beat Columbia 26-42 as #12 Stony Brook did not run their top team.  Providence Dominates!

The #5 Washington women dominated their own invitational by taking the top four spots as Katie Flood starts to make her return to top form. Flood leads a deep Husky team

Texas Tech senior Kennedy Kithuka, the defending NCAA champion, won his second straight race in winning the Texas Tech Open by over a minute in 24:09.  Kithuka has another convincing win

Top female returner Abbie D'Agostino won her third straight Dartmouth Invitational title. D'Agostino runs away from the competition . She ran 20:12 over 6k and won by :52 as '11 NCAA champion Georgetown (ranked sixth this year) won with 46 points to 54 for Syracuse and Dartmouth scored 63. 

Many of the other top men's and women's teams will run the next two weeks in major meets
