After 14 months of development we have finally launched the basic version of the profiles!!

First off, welcome to the site! We have been working night and day to develop a place like none other in the running world. We have a ton of work ahead, but we hope everyone can enjoy the ride. I wish we could make everything perfect now, but we are doing all we can while working fulltime jobs and drinking a LOT of coffee!!

This blog’s purpose is to keep you in the loop on all the current development / changes / issues etc. with runnerspace.com

If you have been clicking around the site, you will notice many pages that still have “authorization only” on them (Groups, Events, Reviews, Mapper, Love, Forum). You may ask, “why do you have those up when they don’t even work yet.”. Well, after much thought… we decided to open up the site at a VERY early stage so people could be with us every step of the way. It has been frustrating at times, but we hope that everyone who becomes a part of the site now will feel a sense of pride being a part of this from the beginning!

Our slogan is – you RUN the place – and we mean it. The RunnerSpace staff will help get pieces of the site rolling and monitor everything, but YOU fill the site with what YOU want.

Soooo, if you want to help the cause here is what you can do.

1. Sign up
2. Upload some photos
3. Customize what you want and don’t want on your profile (you will be able to pimp your profile very soon!)
4. Start your own blog about anything
5. Submit news with our fancy seed news button
6. Add a couple of your favorite links
7. Have fun in the arcade (we know you are competitive…)
8. Upload a video or start a video blog!
9. Vote and comment on everything…
10. Tell others
11. And repeat
