Wow! Great footage of an historic race.
Video of the finish of the 1986 Oregon high school state meet, "AAA" division.  Mark Webber of Canby and Peter Pritchett of Benson fighting to the finish.

It says "during" his three years, not "for the duration" of his three years.

Sadly you are incorrect. During Edwards sophomore year Lukas Verzbikas was the dominant male xc and distance high school runner. He beat Edward quite handily at NXN. Verzbikas came back the next week and beat another great hs runner Futsom Zeinasellassie. I'm a big Edward fan but let's not let hype overshadow truth.

She did run for her school though never seemed to be at the same level that she was at last year. I believe that she had a nagging injury that limited her training. She did not run at the Foot Locker regional this year, instead running with her team at NXN Northeast, where Anoush finished 58th.

Agreed! Before I started I sort of assumed Ostrander would be 2 but then decided using Hofstad as the measuring stick was a reasonable thing to do. Same thing with the Hacker Factor on the boys side.

Great job on the rankings in general as usual. Although I think Allie Ostrander should be #2. She was only 7 seconds ahead of Hofstad, so I understand the thought that she would repeat that margin over her at FLN, putting her a couple seconds in back of Frazier, but I think you have to credit her for actually winning the NXN race if it is close (which it is). I think someone could reasonably justify Ostrander in any spot #1- #3. Oh the shame of not having a true national championship!
