Recap: New Paltz Running Camp InvitationalPublished by
New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory – Teams from all across the state of New York convened at the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory for the New Paltz Running Camp Invitational on December 13th. The stands and track were full of excitement as athletes gave it their all throughout the meet. Sasha Clarick of Dobbs Ferry HS pulled away from Kiera Tobia of Ursuline HS at the end of the girls 1000m. The two finished in 3:11.66 and 3:12.81, respectively. Noelle Saxe of Colonie HS came in close third at 3:13.23 Recording her first Armory win, Amanda Chambers of Colonie HS took the girls mile in 5:25.30. Her teammate, Mikeisha Kelly, won the girls 400m shortly after in 59.77 Amityville HS athletes won the girls and boys 55m hurdles with Yejide Adagoke finishing in 7.44 and Travon Duncan running 7.80. Seth Wilson of Monroe HS won the boys 55m, dipping hard at the line to finish in 6.66. Matt Delorenzo and Zach Laguerre of Wallkill HS, along with Brandon Nebiker of Monroe HS all cleared 13-00 in the boys pole vault. They would place in that order based on attempts. Rayvon Grey, who has won every event that he has competed in this season, captured the boys triple jump with 46-3.75.
