Who I Am...

My name is Kurt Schernekau, and I am 48 years old jumping in Masters competitions and still loving Track and Field. I came back to track and field a few years ago hoping to spark a little competitive spirit. It has, and I am glad to be back.

I won the 2009 USA Masters Indoor T&F Championships and second at 2010 Indoor World Championships high jump for 45 - 49 year olds or as I have been called "GeriJumper"

I did jump for Indiana State University back in the day, early 80's, and was a 2.15 jumper, but that has all changed. Now my PB is 1.84.
