It sure has been a long time since I've been here. And to be honest I probably won't be posting much here. I just wanted to share my personal blog, my online running journal: I post there daily, logging every run and tracking my progress toward my goals and dreams. I basically do it just for myself (it helps to keep me motivated) but I thought others may enjoy it as well. Here is a very brief update on what I've been up to since my last post here: Track season didn't end how I had hoped but I vowed to train hard and reach my goals post-collegiately. I worked hard over the summer, running 90+ miles per week. Then came fall and I moved south of Missoula to work in a biological research facility. Having a regular 40-hour/week job put a damper on my training and motivation and my mileage began slipping rapidly. I maintained between 20-40 miles per week over the winter and didn't get to run at USA XC Nationals like I had hoped (just too out of shape). Then I saw Bloomsday in my horizon. Plus it began getting warmer and lighter outside, and I have finally fully adjusted to my work schedule. I just started ramping up my training again with the hopes of doing well at Bloomsday and beyond. I started the blog to track my progress. I hope you enjoy! |
