Who I Am...

My son was a high school jumper in Texas. His name is Toddrick Allen. He competed for Plano East Senior School in Plano, Tx.

2008 5A State High Jump Champion.

2009 5A State High Jump Runner-Up.

He currently has a personal best of 7'1".

#4 ranked HS jumper in Texas in 2008.

#1 ranked HS jumper in Texas in 2009. Finished US #8 in 2009.

Nike Outdoor All-American in 2008.

Won consecutive district championships (8-5A/9-5A) in 2008-2009.

Region II Runner Up 2008

Region I Champion 2009.

District Record Holder 7' in 8-5A (2009)

District Record Holder 6'10" in 9-5A (2008)

2008 & 2009 1st Team All-Area

Plano East Senior High School Record Holder (7' 1")

7/3/2009 - Unfortunately Todd did not not win the state title, but he was blessed to finish second. He ended jumping 6'10" and lost on misses. A great finish to an outstanding season for my son. He swept all the major meets in Texas (Carl Lewis Indoor Invitational, TSU Relays, Jesuit-Sheaner Relays and the Texas Relays) in 2009.

During the 2008 track season, Toddrick set a personal best of 6'10". He was selected as All-Area 1st team. He competed in 2 post season meets. The Great Southwest Track & Field Classic in New Mexico (3rd Place) and the Nike Outdoor Nationals in North Carolina (4th Place). He earned All-American honors by virtue of his finish at the Nike meet.

Toddrick will be attending Coffeyville Community College (KS) beginning fall 2010.

Picture taken for article about the 2009 Jesuit Relays in Dallas. Todd was coming of his first 7' jump at the TSU Relays and was the favorite to win the meet. He ending winning with a 6'6" jump on a day that had 25+ mph wind gust and temps in the low 40's.

Todd's winning jump, (6'10"  matching PR at the time), at the 2008 Texas 5A State Final. Only 2 competitors cleared 6'10" that day. Todd cleared it on his first attempt and the second place finisher cleared it on his third attempt which gave Todd the win.

Just take a look at his face and you can see that he was truly giving all he had on that jump...........

Todd clearing 7'1" (his PB) at the 2009 Texas Relays. At this meet 5 jumpers cleared 6'9". Todd ended up being the only one to clear 6'11" and 7'1" to win the meet. This was probably his best meet to date. He cleared every height, from 6'6" to 7'1", on his first attempt. He then had 2 really good attempts at 7'3".
