Secrets to Success

Justin Leonard
Southlake Carroll HS, Southlake, TX

Battling heat is something Southlake Carroll coach, Justin Leonard, is used to for his Texas cross country program.  His gentlemen will climb up to 70 miles per week, and he gradually acclimates his runners to not avoid the heat, but to actually work out in the heat so they’ll be able to manage it better on race day.  His plan, and the other aspects of his program, are outlined in detail here.
