Vanessa Valentine commits to the Commodores



Vanessa Valentine of Melbourne High School has recently announced that she will be joining fellow Florida standout, Rebecca Chandler from Bolles HS (class of 2011), at Vanderbilt University located in Nashville, Tennessee, under the direction of 5th Year coach and Vandy Alum, Steve Keith.

Valentine will be joinging a team that recently won the Southeastern Conference Championships and placed second at the Southern Regional earning an automatic bid and their first ever appearance ever at the NCAA Cross-Country National Championships. 

Vanderbilt was ranked as high as third nationally during the season and placed 6th at the National Championships.

Valentine enters Vandy with having run sub 18 on three separate occasions this year with her best run being Great American, where she ran a PR 17:43.

Congrats Vanessa on an awesome high school career and a great college choice! We look forward to following you this upcoming track season!
