The <br />tendonitis must be managed mentally on the next outing this<br />coming Wednesday night to free yourself for an opportunity to <br />get under 1:49. Your fitness is such that another good step <br />forward at 800m is waiting for you in your last 800 of this <br />personally short season. 1500 PR waits for you on Saturday!<br /><br /><strong>Adrian Myers</strong> - PR<br /><br />SPLITS: 12.7, 12.9(25.6), 13.8, 13.7(27.5/53.1), 13.9, <br />13.8(27.7/1:20.8), 14.1, 14.6 (28.7/56.4) <br />Official Time: 1:49.78<br /><br />NOTES: Applying the race plan to be more aggressive on the <br />track early with respect to positioning paid off in progress <br />representing your fitness.  There is more there this season.<br />In particular from this race 450 to 650 has room for more <br />productive aggression (attacking the race). "Mission Accomplished"!  <br />You have two more outings and nothing to lose so let's be more <br />aggressive with the next race to avoid the box-in situation which  <br />cost you half a second. Having <br />posted two PR's in two races running essentially solo will <br />be the next challenge as the first round in Eugene has <br />your new peer group waiting for you. Rabbiting and racing <br />in the tight quarters of the remining AMC races (800 & 1500) <br />will be a big aid in bringing some comfort to the impending <br />close quarters racing this next level. 		<title>Blog - Fast Times 1.1 - AMC HP I (May 30)</title>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>Wow!&nbsp; Does anyone know what happened?&nbsp; Tornado warnings then severe
thunderstorm warnings with high winds, flash flooding and hail
warnings... everyone to the storm shelter tunnel!&nbsp; In the tunnel
(anyone have a picture to share?), we understandably had initial
frustration, doom and gloom with the delay as it is crunch time for so
many. During the two hour huddle in the tunnel, something interesting
transpired as tension turned to comic relief, which then turned to a
group-think fighting spirit.&nbsp; A little after 10 PM, the call was made
and the men's 5,000 meter athletes pumped up the huddled masses in the
tunnel by charging into the still falling rain to start their warm-up.&nbsp;
GAME ON!&nbsp; In the ensuing Midnight Madness of racing, 25 athletes posted
season best efforts, 13 were lifetime best marks and 9 USA National
Championship qualifying marks were posted!</p>
<p>All volunteers and
athletes/coaches did a great job and had a great attitiude working
together in the spirit of this modest little series where everyone from
contract athletes to aspiring first-time national qualifiers work
together in sharing pace-setting duties and creating the setting for
the fast times we all seek at this time of the year.</p>
<p>Still drying out and cleaning up in INDY... we will be ready for anything starting June 13th with AMC HP II for 2009.</p>
