Blog - Splits & Comments: 2009 Outdoor Coach's Comments - AMC, June 13

http://www.runnerspace.com/gprofile.php?mgroup_id=124&do=blogs&blog_id=1422

Results American Milers Club HP Series, June 13 (link)

Juan Carrillo - PR

SPLITS: 12.9, 12.9(25.8), 13.6, 13.5(27.1/52.9), 13.8,
13.8(27.6/1:20.5) 14.0, 14.3(28.3/55.9) Official Time: 1:49.08

NOTES: On a day where concern over a little flare-up tendonitis
had you distracted from full attention to the race setting you still
managed a solid step forward in your PR at 800 meters. The
tendonitis must be managed mentally on the next outing this
coming Wednesday night to free yourself for an opportunity to
get under 1:49. Your fitness is such that another good step
forward at 800m is waiting for you in your last 800 of this
personally short season. 1500 PR waits for you on Saturday!

Adrian Myers - PR

SPLITS: 12.7, 12.9(25.6), 13.8, 13.7(27.5/53.1), 13.9,
13.8(27.7/1:20.8), 14.1, 14.6 (28.7/56.4)
Official Time: 1:49.78

NOTES: Applying the race plan to be more aggressive on the
track early with respect to positioning paid off in progress
representing your fitness. There is more there this season.
In particular from this race 450 to 650 has room for more
productive aggression (attacking the race). With our
"strength" emphasis in this first training cycle a fast 1000 to
1200 as the 1500 rabbit this Wednesday should play well
in setting you up to make a run at the 1:48's on the 20th.

Austin Wechter - #4 All-Time 400H (& rabbit duties at 800m)

SPLITS: 6.35, 4.19, 4.37, 4.41, 4.50,
4.36, 4.43, 4.56, 4.72, 5.08, 5.29
Official Time: 52.43

NOTES: First class approach to the challenge of no competitors.
Again (how many times this outdoor season... every meet??)
solid management of weather interference with the rains and
the possibility of a race delay. If you retain the weather lessons
from the season you will have a big competitive advantage in
the future when adverse weather hits. We know that you will
likely have little or no help in the next two meets BUT, you are
ready for a break through based on the consistency in the 52's.
BIG Team Points for setting up a teammate in the 800!

Ricky Bell - season opener

SPLITS: 12.9, 13.4(26.3), 14.2, 14.2(28.4/54.6), 14.6,
13.9 (28.5/1;23.1), 13.8, 14.5 (28.3/56.8)
Official Time: 1:51.63

NOTES: It has been a long road back from surgery and you have
exceeded all reasonable goals for this first training cycle...
remember the goal for 2009 was #1 the health and fitness to
start a full national level training cycle this coming August AND
#2 to break 1:54 during June this year. "Mission Accomplished"!
You have two more outings and nothing to lose so let's be more
aggressive with the next race to avoid the box-in situation which
cost you half a second. You could scare up something under 1:50
just as easily your lack of a true 800m base could crash in on you.
As we are able to return to normal training keeping the good
communication you have exhibited during challenging times and
your odds of returning to national finals and the Trials go way up!

Christopher Hendrix-Buxton - SB

SPLITS: 13.4, 13.2(26.6), 14.3, 14.0(28.3/54.9), 14.5,
14.0 (28.5/1;23.4), 14.0, 15.2 (29.2/57.7)
Official Time: 1:52.82

NOTES: having to shut things down with the injury may
prove to be a bit of a blessing over the rest of the week.
Keep your head clear and do not let the injury become
an excuse as you can race as evidenced by Saturday's
outing. Race the last 600m with a smooth effort and
you have a shot at a PR.

MASON CATHEY - rabbit 800 & 1500

SPLITS (800): 14.1, 13.9 (28.0), 15.1, 15.6 (30.7/58.7)
16.2 (1:14.9)

SPLITS (1500): 15.1, 17.0 (32.1), 17.5, 16.8 (34.3/66.4)
17.6, 18.2 (35.8), 17.8, 17.4 (35.2/71.0/2:17.4)
17.3, 17.5 (34.8/2:52.2)

NOTES: Excellent blend of giving something to the meet
when you had attained your "A" standard and also dropping
in a solid quality workout to kick of "sharpening week". You
are ready for both an 800 and 1500 PR in the next couple
of meets to finish out final race preparation going in to USA
Nationals in 10 days.

http://www.runnerspace.com/gprofile.php?mgroup_id=124&do=blogs&blog_id=1419

Results American Milers Club HP Series, May 30 (link)

MASON CATHEY - USA Nationals "A" Standard qualifying mark, PR & Team Record

SPLITS: 79.9, 79.2(2:39.1), 80.7, 81.6 (5:21.4), 81.5, 81.4,
79.5, 39.2 Official Time: 10.03.08

NOTES: Lessons from over-running the front end of GINA
Relays steeple in late April were applied and along with
improved fitness excellent results were posted. Having
posted two PR's in two races running essentially solo will
be the next challenge as the first round in Eugene has
your new peer group waiting for you. Rabbiting and racing
in the tight quarters of the remining AMC races (800 & 1500)
will be a big aid in bringing some comfort to the impending
close quarters racing this next level. Welcome to the show
Mason as you have earned it starting last September!

Juan Carrillo - PR

SPLITS: 13.2, 12.9(26.1), 13.6, 13.5(27.1/53.2), 13.7,
13.9(27.6/1:20.8) 14.0, 14.4(28.4) Official Time: 1:49.53

NOTES: Improved fitness since early May pays off with a
nice little PR. More attention and effort can be applied to
the 450 to 650 zone of your next races as there is more
time available to you in the PR department in this first short
season with the Indiana Invaders.

Adrian Myers - PR

SPLITS: 13.1, 12.4(25.5), 13.5, 13.8(27.3/52.8), 14.0,
14.2(28.2/1:21.0), 14.3, 14.7 (29.0) Official Time: 1:50.01

NOTES: Good tacitcal race decisions through 700m and the
strength we would expect from this initial training cycle is
there for you. Let's toss caution out here in the next race
and risk being too aggressive as regardless of the outcome
the learning curve will be much better than racing with
reservation. Be prepared to step up and rabbit a fast 1000
to 1200 on the Wednesday evening in set up for another PR
in the 800 on June 20th.

Ricky Bell - rabbit duties

SPLITS: 12.5, 12.7(25.2), 13.2, 13.8(27.0/52.2), 13.6,
14.2 (27.8/1;20.0)

NOTES: The progress from surgery continues ahead of plans
for 2009. You are ready to test the 800m waters for more
bonus time here in 2009. Be prepared for inconsistencies in
the AMC races you have ahead of you re the lack of a full
and proper training BUT do not fear getting after it as there is
nothing to lose... you are ready to fully return to the national
scene in 2010!

Christopher Hendrix-Buxton - rabbit duties

NOTES: Good team work jumping in and rabbiting the rabbits
to get things rolling in the 800 & 1500. In the remaining AMC
races your dings and speed bumps MUST be left at home to
ensure at least a season's best outing.

December 08, 2007
(WEST CHESTER, Ohio) The Indiana
Invaders posted modest team performances in cold and muddy conditions
at the 2007 USATF National Club Cross Country Championships held
Saturday December 8th in West Chester, Ohio as both teams finished in
14th place. Individually, Indiana Invaders athletes Erin Nehus and Julia Rudd,
provided the brightest points on Voice of America Park cross country
course by finishing in the top ten team finishers adding to a team
legacy of top performers at the nation’s club cross country
championships.

Nehus and Rudd, as the thirteenth and fourteenth athletes in Indiana
Invaders history to finish in the USATF National Club Cross Country
Championships, lead their injury and illness depleted roster against a
record number of women’s teams (32). The Indiana Invaders men’s roster
was led by Ted Turner
against a record number of men’s teams (50). The women’s national team
title was taken by Run Ohio Racing Team with 157 points and the men’s
team title was retained by Zap Fitness with 45 points.

Indiana Invaders’ Coach Greg Harger
said, “With the current depth and health of our roster we can’t feel
disappointed with the result as a team this weekend. When you loose two
athletes from your scoring line up as we did in the week preceding the
championships for our women’s team it does not matter what your level
of competition, challenging for a top finish becomes unrealistic.”
Harger added, “The men being just five, competed well given current
fitness levels. These team performance levels provide both rosters a

December 06, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders will send a men's and women's team
to West Chester, Ohio, on Saturday, December 8th to compete in the 2007
USATF National Club Cross Country Championships. Leading off the
competition schedule for the Indiana Invaders is the Women’s 6K race at
12:45 PM followed by the Men's 10K race at 1:30 PM in Voice of America
Park.

Leading the Indiana Invaders on the women's side will be Julia Rudd and Erin Nehus.
Rudd had a break out year in 2007 as she qualified for the 2007
AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships placing seventh in
her heat and running a 3000m Steeplechase PR of 10:15.76. Nehus is
also no stranger to competing at an elite level as she represented the
United States in the 2006 IAAF World Road Running Championships and was
a third place team scoring finisher in the 2005 USATF National Club
Cross Country Championships while leading the Indiana Invaders team to
a fourth place finish. Making up the rest of the women’s entry roster
is Robyn Burns, Stefanie Calhoun, Stephanie Dueringer, Alana Margarf, Shannon Runge and Jessica Textoris.

For the Indiana Invaders men's team, Ted Turner and John Poray
are positioned to lead the team efforts. Turner has had a strong fall
training and racing local events and will be poised to be a top
finisher this weekend in Ohio. Poray comes into the championships off
of a multiple PR 2007 season at numerous distances and his best fall
training. Rounding out the men's roster will be Jesse Davis, Aaron Harding and Hunter Spencer.

Invaders Director and Head Coach Greg Harger
said, "It is good to be back to our sport’s national cross country
championship with a men’s and women’s team. With new cross country
resources coming on-line for us in Indianapolis next year, this
weekend’s results will give us a national measuring stick and reference
point as we head in to a new era and our second decade of competition."
Harger added, "With some focused effort we expect to be back in the mix
and ready to challenge for national titles in the coming years with
both our men’s and women’s teams."

The Indiana Invaders Cross Country Team recently made a partial roster
appearance in winning both the women’s and men’s team titles at the GVH Invitational on November 18, 2007.

This is the Invaders' seventh team appearance at the USATF National
Club Cross Country Championships where the team has finished a team in
the Top Five a total of six times in the past eight years.
Individually the Indiana Invaders have had 12 finishers in the Top Ten
since their activation in 1999.

2007 USATF National Club Cross Country Championships

Indiana Invaders Team History with scoring place finishers

Women Men

1999 Second(1,16,17,19,27) Eighth (22,29,33,37,73)
2000 Second(2,3,23,31,44) Fifth (2,5,14,18,142)
2001 First (1,2,10,11,14) Seventh (27,33,34,47,57)
2002 Second (5,7,18,19,38) Seventh (8,27,39,57,88)
2003 DNR DNR
2004 Sixth (25,36,40,53,58) DNR
2005 Fourth (3,19,38,39,41) 13th (34,73,89,105,106)
2006 DNR DNR

Indiana Invaders Top Ten Individual Team Finisher History:
Erin Nehus (’05) - Third
Stephanie Dueringer (’02) - Fifth
Keisha Banks (’02) – Seventh
Geoff Fleming (’02) – Eighth
Priscilla Hein (’01) – First
Collette Liss (’01) – Second
Kelly French (’01) – Tenth
Collette Liss (’00) – Second
Kyle Baker (’00) - Second
Priscilla Hein (’00) – Third
Rick Sluder (’00) – Fifth
Collette Liss (’99) – First

For additional information on the Indiana Invaders, please contact Coach Harger at 317 289-4018 or by e-mail at: greg.harger@indianainvaders.com or visit the Indiana Invaders web page at www.indianainvaders.com

June 23, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) Indiana Invaders' Julia Rudd posted a career best in the
3000 meter steeplechase at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Rudd's 10:15.76 effort in the semi-finals was the fastest time not to
make the finals.

Rudd, an eleven-time NCAA D-III All-American while at UW-La Crosse, has
been with the Invaders for nearly ten months and is focused on next
year's Olympic Trial's steeplechase. Rudd improved her best steeple
chase mark by 10 seconds and also ran personal best at several other
distances in her rookie season with the Invaders.

Team Director, Greg Harger, said, "Rudd has handled the post-collegiate
transition months fairly well and we have identified key components for
her next training cycle. She has a great opportunity to make the
Olympic Trials in 2008." Harger added, "With new additions to our
women's steeple training group we anticipate a strong women's cross
country team this fall along with the emergence of additional Olympic
Trial's contenders in the women's steeple."

Since 1999, the Invaders have had one IAAF World Indoor Champion, one
IAAF World Indoor Bronze Medalist, eight USA National Champions, one USA
Olympic Team Member, nine USA National Team Members and 132 USA National
Championship Qualifiers.

The Indiana Invaders, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1998,
presents an innovative approach to track & field by providing a

June 21, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders are hosting the fourth in what has
become an annual "Distance Summit" of leading development teams, coaches
and supporters of athlete development in the United States during the
USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The Distance Development Summit was first initiated and hosted by Zap
Fitness in the fall of 2004 at their training facility in Blowing Rock,
North Carolina. In the fall of 2005, the Boston Athletic Association
facilitated the hosting of a second edition of the Distance Summit in
Boston, Massachusetts and the Indiana Invaders hosted the third edition
at the 2006 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held in
Indianapolis.

Arguably the majority of the most outspoken and successful athlete
development organizations in the United States will be in attendance or
represented: Hansons-Brooks Distance Project, Oregon Track Club Elite,
Team USA Minnesota, Zap Fitness, and the Indiana Invaders among others
will convene for the fourth generation Distance Development Summit.

On tap for the Distance Development Summit IV will be finalization of
specific plans for the 2008 American Milers Club High Performance Series
and an in-depth discussion of an expanded 2008 High Performance Series
expected to produce some of the fastest and deepest fields in 2008
from the 800 to the 10,000.

Collectively these organizations as USATF clubs, led by some of the most
dynamic development coaches in the country, have produced an
overwhelming majority of the club-based elite development talent
competing at USA National Championships in recent seasons. While each
organization has a unique event focus they have collectively had
significant success from the 800 through to the marathon.

Keith Hanson (Hansons Brooks Developmental Program), Dennis Barker (Team
USA Minnesota), Pete Rea (ZAP Fitness), Frank Gagliano (Oregon Track
Club Elite) and Greg Harger (Indiana Invaders) will be joined by a
handful of other supporters and backers of their collective initiatives.

Summit host and Indiana Invaders Team Director Greg Harger said, "We
share the same values and commitments to developing athletic talent and
we have all independently developed and achieved success in our own
communities with unique initiatives that have a remarkable amount of
common experience and value to one another as we have learned through
sharing our proverbial lessons learned. By coming together as a group
and working together where ever possible, we will continue to change and
improve the dynamic of our sport for true development initiatives in
this country."

Further details from this Distance Summit will be released in the near
future as they become formalized. The next session of these Distance
Development Summits will be held in Eugene, Oregon at the 2008 USA
Olympic Trials.

Since 1999 the Invaders have had one IAAF World Indoor Champion, one
IAAF World Indoor Bronze Medalist, eight USA National Champions, one USA
Olympic Team Member, nine USA National Team Members and 132 USA National
Championship Qualifiers.

June 20, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders will compete at the 2007 AT&T USA
Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana on June
21-24, 2007. This is the Invaders' ninth appearance at the USA Outdoor
Championships where over the course of their first nine seasons of
competition at USA Track & Field National Championships, the Indiana
Invaders have produced 132 athlete appearances.

The Invaders are led into the 2007 championships by Adam Shunk (Delta,
Muncie, Ind.), a graduate student at Ball State University and the 2006
USA National Indoor Champion in the high jump. Shunk is a 2004 Olympic
Trials participant and is qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials. Shunk
currently competes under a NIKE affiliation.

Joining Shunk in this weekend's USA National Championship are teammates
Jacob Koczman (800) and Julia Rudd (3000SC).

Jacob Koczman, a 2004 Olympic Trials Finalist and USA National
Championship finalist in 2006, will compete in the 800 where he has a
career best of 1:47.06. Koczman, a full-time medical student, comes into
the competition as the last qualifier in the field of 32.

Julia Rudd will compete in her first USA National Championship ranked
24th in a field of 27 athletes. Rudd is in her rookie year with the
Indiana Invaders and has posted personal best at every meaningful
distance since arriving in Indianapolis in the fall of 2006. Rudd's best
mark is 10:18.74.

Team Director Greg Harger said, "This is a great opportunity for our
team to compete our home community. It's exciting to have the
championships in your own community and it should be a great week of
competition for many from Indiana." Coach Harger added, "This is a great
kick off to the beginning of a push to the Olympic Trials and Olympic
Games of 2008."

May 28, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders will host the 2007 edition of the
American Milers Club High Performance Series immediately after the USA
Track & Field Outdoor Championships that will be held in Indianapolis on
June 21-24. The series will be produced and managed by NFTL, Inc.

The American Milers Club High Performance Series, featuring three days
of many of America's top middle distance athletes hitting the track with
scores to settle from USA Nationals, is an outgrowth of meets hosted by
the Indiana Invaders in 2004 to provide high performance competitive
opportunities for middle distance athletes.

This year's series will also include a pre-national championship Last
Chance qualifying opportunity on June 15th at the Big Red National
Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana. This event takes place just one
week before the 2007 U.S.A. Outdoor Nationals and is designed
specifically for athletes in need of qualifying marks for the 2007 USA
Outdoor National Championships.

The American Milers Club High Performance Series has an unmatched record
in recent years of fast times and exciting competition by developing
national class athletes. In 2006, the AMC series produced 41 season
bests and 26 lifetime bests. Eight races were determined by 33/100ths of
a second or less and four races were determined by margins of 6/100ths
of a second or less. In 2005, there were several very competitive
performances including two sub-3:38 performances in the 1500 and five
sub-1:48 performances in the 800. In 2004, the series produced 43
Olympic Trials qualifying marks including some of the deepest 800 and
1500 meter races in the USA during the 2004 track and field season.

Support and commitment from many of America's best elite development
teams and their coaches have created a series with strong interest that
meets the needs of many top American middle distance athletes.
Competition results are expected to impact the 2008 Olympic Trials
qualifying list of athletes every day of competition.

The 2007 competition schedule will be focused on the 800 and 1500 with a
limited number of possible added events on each of the different days of
the series.

2007 High Performance Track & Field Series dates:
June 25 Bloomington, Indiana
June 27 Bloomington, Indiana
June 30 Bloomington, Indiana

Series Director Greg Harger said, "The interest in this high performance
series has grown significantly this year what with the window for
Olympic Trials qualifying now being open. This high performance series
will give athletes, at peak fitness, an opportunity to post qualifying
marks for next year's Olympic Trials. We're excited about the
potential of this series and it's ability to provide high performance
competition opportunities for America's top middle distance athletes."
Harger added, "We're looking forward to growing this series and the
prospects of making it a cornerstone of a larger high performance series
of events on the 2008 domestic schedule."

The USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held in Indianapolis
and take place June 21-24, 2007. The US Championships serve as the
selection meet for the 2007 IAAF World Championships in Athletics, which
will take place August 25 - September 2 in Osaka, Japan.

Starting line-ups, event registration, and additional information on the
American Milers Club High Performance series is available online at

May 6, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders hit the roads and regional tracks
this weekend with three top 10 finishes at the largest half marathon in
the United States leading the notable efforts.

At the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon on May 5th, 2007, the
Invaders’ three Top 10 athletes were Erin Nehus taking fourth with a
time of 1:17:40 in the women’s race while Abdelaziz Atmani was sixth
(1:06:18) and John Ngigi ninth (1:07:14) in the men’s race. John Poray,
14th place (1:08:38), and Ted Turner, 15th place (1:09:17), rounded out
the Invaders’ notable performances.

On the track, the Invaders posted four wins over the weekend. At Friday
evening’s Billy Hayes Invitational on May 4th, 2007, hosted by Indiana
University, the Invaders were led by Hunter Spencer with a win in the
1500 (3:46.27) and the duo of Chris Thomas and Ron Andrews who went 1-2
in the 110 meter hurdles with times of 14.02 and 14.16 respectively.
Saturday, May 5th at Butler University’s Twilight Meet, the hurdle pair
of Thomas and Andrews faced negative winds for the second day, but
posted their third consecutive 1-2 finish over the 110 meter hurdles
with marks of 13.88 and 14.15 seconds respectively. Saturday efforts
wrapped up for the Invaders with competition in the Jesse Owens Classic
at Ohio State University. The Invaders were led by Julia Rudd with a win
in the 3000 meter steeplechase (10:28.35). Marc Dzradosi was second in
the triple jump and Ricardo Bell third in the 800.

Team Director, Greg Harger, said, "The eighth largest running event in
the United States, the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, is a great
Indianapolis community event to reference the talents of Indiana
athletes against those of top international athletes. Three Top 10
finishes are good for our roster, but we're looking to make an even
greater impact in the coming years." Harger added, "Indiana has in
recent years continually generated a great up-and-coming pool of talent
and we hope to help foster fulfillment of that talent after college by
increasing the retention and support for long distance runners through
coordinated Indiana efforts and resources."

The Invaders had 16 athletes qualify for both the 2000 and the 2004 US

April 30, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders seventh Olympic Trials qualifier was
posted with Stephanie Dueringer's performance of 2:45:25 at the 2007
Eugene Marathon on April 28, 2007.

Dueringer's performance qualified her for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials
Women's Marathon which will be the US Olympic Team selection event for
the 2008 Olympic Games marathon to be held in Beijing, China. The U.S.
Olympic Trials Marathon will be held in Boston over the weekend of the
Boston Marathon as a separate event. This will be Dueringer's first
participation at a US Olympic Trials. Dueringer joins teammate Heather
May who also qualified for the women’s marathon trials with her effort
at the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon on October 22, 2006.

Team Director Greg Harger said, "Dueringer is now the seventh Invaders
athlete to post a mark for next year's Olympic Trials. For the next 12
months Stephanie's focus will be on optimal preparation for the Olympic
Trials Marathon in April of 2008. This is an important experience for
her and we know that she's up to the Challenge of being prepared to
break 2:40 with her teammate May." Harger added, "As the build up to the
Olympic Trials and the Olympic Games grows, we work to stay focused on
the day-in and day-out tedium of training that must be held in the
perspective of a specific date in 2008 and not get unduly distracted
with intermediate competitions.”

April 29, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders opened the outdoor track season
with four athletes posting qualifying marks for the 2007 USA
Championships and the 2008 Olympic Trials. Chris Thomas and Ron Andrews
ran qualifying times in the 110 meter hurdles, Jacob Koczman exceeded
the qualifying standards in the 800 while Adam Shunk jumped a national
mark in the high jump.

Kicking off the weekend's meets in Indianapolis, the Invaders had strong
performances at the Indy Relays, hosted by Butler University. The 110
meter hurdles saw Chris Thomas and Ron Andrews hitting the USA
qualifying standard with times of 13.64 and 13.78 seconds respectively
while finishing first and second in the competition. Thomas followed up
his personal best time hurdle victory by winning the 200 meters, also in
a personal best time. Additional Indy Relays note: Jamey Sperle finished
third in the 200 meter final as he enters the early stages of his return
to form from an on and off injury sequence.

Wrapping up Saturday's competitive performances for the Invaders was a
fist full of athletes competing at the Drake Relays, in Des Moines Iowa.
Adam Shunk, a member of the USA World Indoor Championship Team in 2006
and competing under a NIKE affiliation, finished third in the high jump
with a USA and Olympic Trials Qualifying standard performance of 2.26
meters. Joining Shunk with both USA National and Olympic Trials
qualifying marks was 800 meter teammate, Jacob Koczman. Koczman finished
sixth in a time of 1:48.30.

Rounding out the Top Five finishes at the Drake Relays for the Invaders
athletes were Hunter Spencer taking third in the Mile, pole vaulter Pat
Manson fifth at 5.36 meters and Julia Rudd took fifth in the 3000
steeple with a performance of 10:27.36.

Team Director Greg Harger said, "In reality with the recent weather in
the Midwest, this was essentially our team's season outdoor opening
weekend. Through Saturday's competition it was a good weekend where we
had four Invaders hitting qualifying standards for the USA Championships
that will be held in Indianapolis this June." Harger added, "The
training, the patience, and the desire to pursue excellence showed
itself for these athletes. We're looking for a great season of
performances for each of these athletes as we all prepare for the 2008
Olympic Season. As soon as Sunday results are in we expect additions to
the Invaders list of Olympic Trials qualified athletes."

All efforts will be put into recruiting middle distance athletes that have a wide range. We are looking for runners that can excel on the track and in cross. Any athlete can still join the Invaders, but we do not have coaches for sprints, throws, or jumps.
