<div><a style="color: #2851a2; text-decoration: none; cursor: pointer;" href="http://www.finishlynx.com/"></a>As Lagat rounded the track at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Roxbury, running the 5000 meters in thirteen minutes and eleven seconds, the tag relayed information about his precise position on the track to a Lynx computer system in a control room above the action, which enabled a robotic camera to closely follow Lagat, and provided detailed new information for the ESPN announcers who were calling the race.</div>

<p><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">Sentiment for restoring men&rsquo;s track at Oregon State has been building for a couple of years, and that process will take a symbolic step on Saturday at the Husky Classic indoor meet in Seattle.</span></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.667em; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px;">Six members of the Oregon State football team &ndash; including All-American James Rodgers &ndash; will compete in the meet, representing the Beavers. The men&rsquo;s track and field program at Oregon State was killed in 1988.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.667em; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px;">School officials caution this is not the beginning of men&rsquo;s track at OSU and that once spring football drills start in March all of these players will be fully engaged with the sport that brought them to Corvallis in the first place.</p>
