    Who I Am...

Recently diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) in both feet that resulted from nerve injuries (Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome). I'm currently treating it aggressively, in the hopes of curing it or at least stopping the spread of the disease. It sucks. Don't ever get it. You won't like it.

Keeping a positive attitude and good psychological health through my illness has been really important to me and to the course of the disease. Don't overlook mental health. It's just as important as physical health.

I miss running a lot. I also miss standing and walking without a lot of pain. Don't take running or your health for granted, and be thankful for all the good in your life.

I have the greatest puppy in the world, and his name is Shorter after my idol, Frank Shorter.

I hope to run again someday, but I'll settle for taking my pup on long walks with minimal or no pain :-) I'm looking forward to that day.

Continue to treat the RSD aggressively...move the joints, and soft tissue in every plane possible...don't be too aggressive because you don't want to make the already hypersensitive nerves overly irritated
