Do you believe in running negative lap splits for the 800? Personally, I'm a fan of going out fast the first lap and toughing out the second. But it doesn't matter-I still fail to run sub 2:30 anyway! >:-P

How many miles a week do you run? The thing that keeps me from moving into the middle distances is having to run milage to be good at them. I'm guessing you're around 50 miles/week? But it's probably more than that.

So you're a Mile/800 guy? What is your height and weight? I'm 6' 3.5" and around 175 lbs and EVERYBODY sseems to be on my case about becoming an 800 runner. I currently do the 4 and 2 and I really have no desire to move up to the 8 now.
