Who I Am...

I recently graduated from the University of Oregon, where I walked on to the XC/Track teams and ran for a few years. Now I'm living in Eugene, OR trying unsuccessfully to get back into competition shape after a long string of injuries.
My computer knowledge and willingness to film and upload videos for well over twelve hours a day has led to an intimate relationship with runnerspace. I am half of the two man team that creates the greatest weekly, pre-recorded, live internet running news show in existence: RunnerSpace Live. I've been to tons of awesome meets in the last year- but not just to watch and enjoy them. I like to think of traveling, filming, editing, and uploading long hours as retrospective fun. Its difficult at the time, but a great experience looking back. I would say that racing is very similar that in that sense.
I love to get feedback, video comments, wall posts, or answer questions about the site. I'll get back quickly so leave me some comments.

hi sir, My name is Chris Adanty and i attend St.Joan of Arc secondary school in mississauga, Ontario Canada. I went to OFSAA 2011 in sudbury. I ran in the midget boys 300m hurdles and finished 12th overall. I know this is kinda late but ive noticed that in the final results im posted as an unknown athlete and from st. alyousious Gonzaga, which is false. In the video of my heat i am also posted with the same false information. i believe im in heat one of the midget boys 300m hurdles. i just wanted to know if there was any way possible that you can change it to the correct information here is the link to the final results as posted on athletics ontario http://nossa.rainbow...saatf/index.htm

thankyou

Ian, I was wondering why the "2011 Boys 2a 110m Hurdles Heat 1" was missing from the videos that were uploaded from the state meet this last weekend. Of course that's the one my son's in. Let me know.
Thanks themom6@gmail.com

Ian, are you going to post the finish video for Eugene 2011 soon?
TomH (May 6 2011, 03:07 AM)
Ian,
As a mom of an Adams State runner 1000 miles away, thank you for the video series! Great work and so fun to see my son and his teammates on their workouts. I know my runner will want a copy of this for later in life to preserve this special time. Can the series be purchased? Please email me at: pegski5@yahoo.com

Thanks again for all you do!

Sorry to post this on here but our staff has run out of ideas on how to contact the staff on runnerspace.com

Hi my name is Kuba and I one of the meet promoters for the SDSU Aztec Track Classic hosted at San Diego State University. We have been trying to get a hold of runnerspace.com to make a request for press coverage at the meet, but we haven't been able to get any real contact information. I am hoping this last ditch effort will get us in contact with runnerspac. If this works please email at j.kuba.w@gmail.com

I would like to put u in contact with our meet director Shelia Burrell to discuss the possibility of having runnerspace.com be the press media provider for Aztec Track Classic.

I'm not sure how i offended ... but somehow i have. that's not my style nor my intention :( and i apologize without understanding. from my perspective, the question is one of respect. apparently somebody upstairs misses the point, or disagrees with my methods.

folks, these are amazing times ... Facebook was born 6 years ago, RS when? ... my point is we're living IN them. we're a part of them. and i believe, with all my heart and fire! that it's up to US to shape them for the BEST. having been through ... enough to make a bulls balls itch. what do i have to show for it? =) that's exactly the point from my daughters perspective. actually, from pretty much any perspective. the answer gentlemen is character. if i cannot reach her from inside her heart, then i shall change the world so she hears me through others.

I am prepared to show the world what Mark Zuckerberg could not, and never will. He's not a runner, hasn't gone the distance ... and i see what he cannot. You gentlemen built "YouTube for runners" ... and i love it ... and i've generously studied its capabilities while raising awareness. I couldn't do anything I do ... without friends. Mark stabbed his in their backs, took a dishonorable route to do something for selfish reasons. I do NOT wish to rule anyones world. Like your RunnerSpace tagline ... I LOVE IT ... YOU RUN THE PLACE.

Well, I'm developing something too. We might call it "FaceBook for runners" ... only i want our users to have even more personalization and connectivity options.

I humbly suggest the old saying, "you can't keep up a good man down." is applicable here ... and that when it comes to our kids ... to changing the world for future generations ... so long as nobody is harmed, i'll do everything i can to make it happen. Why? My answer ... after doing my homework, I firmly believe my report will be favorably loved and appreciated by everyone ... as they realize ... everything that i do in my life benefits others... and i have zero tolerance for people who take others for granted. I believe distance runners learn lessons in life one can't learn anywhere else, exept as Bowerman put it "in War".

I'm in a war now... and you folks are part of it. It's a war to make Distance Running popular with kids, to ignite their dreams. I have so many ideas ... and every effort is wrapped around a "pay it forward" methodology.

In closing, ... where i have by necessity and ingenuity cut corners and scraped with all my might to make amazing things happen with little $ to work ... to impress my daughter ... i have done so HONORABLY, for the ends most clearly justify the means in all matters of the heart.

Sincerely,
Sean

Hey man!
I love being able to view photos of a race as soon I as I get home... but runnerspace's photo browsing plugin is a little slow. Please check out Cool Iris (http://www.cooliris.com/). It would make runnerspace photo viewing sick!
Keep up the good work,

"Did you tape the women's 4A race at South Whidbey (dist 1/2) on October 30? Would be interested in a copy of the finish if you have it."

Someone else from RunnerSpace taped that, but even so, at RunnerSpace we don't distribute any videos. We're only allowed to do all the things we do because we follow sets of rules. One of those things is video distribution, so as a general rule, we do not distribute. Best of luck, hope this doesn't seem too up tight!

No worries, I am completely new to this. Any hints on how to locate that video? My daughter collapsed at the finish line, would like to see exactly what happened.

I was actually kidding about that being an autotune microphone. It is just a regular microphone, and I put the autotune effect on later using the Mac program GarageBand. This tutorial pretty much shows how I did it: HERE

Hey man great show! I was wondering where you got the auto-tune microphone? If you or anyone else could help me out that would be great! I want to get it as a present so I need to know as soon as possible!

Mr Terpin,
What are the chances you get out to Cleveland and get some DIII nationals coverage in next weeks show? I hope
you at-least show those DIII athletes some love, they may not be the fastest but work hard and definitely put out
some exciting races.

Why was there such a huge gap in RS Live episodes recently? I had to let 3 whole Wednesday mornings go to waste because of that.

Hey Terp.

Will you let me know when you are going to be at meets.. I need like 50 more hours for my internship.. I figure if I show up and hang out with you'all it'd count for my hours. Also, maybe I could come and "help" with other stuff you guys are doing in order to scrape up the remaining hours. What do you think?

Not gonna lie...kinda stoked about this...but I'm going to be at CIF! WOOO! Meaning that we are probably going to be in the same place at the same time! This may not be such a big deal to you but it is for me because I LOVE RUNNERSPACE LIVE. Like really...BIG FAN! Don't stop! Or at least tell us before you do!

i very much enjoyed your video of the eugene marathon. i had a great time in your city last weekend and loved the run!

So you and Matt B. could have nicknames as hosts of RS Live just like the previous two did. Matt could be called "The Barnhart" and you could be called "Terpin Time". What happened to Gered "The Burns" Burns and Ryan "Westmania" Westman since you guys took over anyway?
empb28 (Apr 20 2009, 11:54 PM)
yo, we are talking with Nike right now about getting a design, but If you want to whoop up a logo/brand to use it if Nike says they can't do it. I would like to incorporate Bowerman Obviously and some type of Pack theme. create some options and lets check em out. love your passion and enthusiam terp!
