The University of Vermont men's and women's track and field teams competed at the 2010 America East Indoor Championships hosted by Boston University this weekend. The women's team finished sixth (60 pts), while the men's squad earned 29 points for an eighth place finish at the meet.

The Catamount women's effort was highlighted by two school record breaking performances. Senior Aly Millett (Half Moon Bay, Calif.) was the runner-up in both the 1,000m and the mile. She posted an ECAC-qualifying time of 2:54.18 in the 1,000m and then set a new UVM mark in the mile with a time of4:51.30, breaking the 29-year old record held by UVM Hall of Famer and Olympian Judi St. Hilaire. Hilaire ran a time of 4:52.79 back in 1981.

On the men's side, sprinter Aaron Campbell (Bend, Ore.) was the runner-up in the 55m race, an event he entered as the defending champion. Campbell posted a time of 6.49 seconds, but Maine's Landis Williams was three-hundredths of a second faster at 6.46 to win the event. Campbell also placed seventh in the 200m with a time of 22.34 to pick up more points for the Catamounts.
