Wow... that was probably the worst commentary I have ever seen on a track video during a championship race.

First of all, Puskedra never held the Jr. record for 5k ever...
Secondly, You gave maybe three random lap splits throughout the race. You barely gave us 5k split.
Thirdly, you obviously don't know the rules about "A' and "B" standards for the World Championships. You are allowed to send 2 "A" standard runners and a "B" if they are in the top three.
Fourth, I didn't know that this was the "Galen Rupp show." Talk about some of the other runners for a change. Yeah you mentioned Tegenkamp and his impressive 1500m/2 mile credentials, but talk about Tim Nelson/Scott Bauhs/anyone else.

Honestly, this commentary was crap. Next time, please do some research.

Disappointed with the commentary. The commentators NEED to know the basic rules for making it to worlds when they are announcing championship races. Bauhs automatically made Worlds in this race. No need to run an A when Teg and Rupp already have the A. They are the same rules across all events. How difficult is that? This isn't just Runnerspace's problem. Why didn't USATF have a media packet for those covering the event with basic facts about how an athlete advances to worlds? Sad that our sport can't pull it together.

They should also announce splits and give more background to the runners in the race. I personally would have been happier if FloTrack covered the meet since they don't just throw out incorrect commentary. FloTrack commentators also seem to be true fans of the sport who know a lot about the runners. USATF needs to think about the future of the sport.
