The Jesuit boys won their eighth state championship in boys cross country at the Oregon high school cross country championships on Saturday at Lane Community College, packing five scorers together in the top 30 for a score of 52 points.

Lakeridge senior Chloe Huyler won the Class 6A girls cross country championship in Oregon on Saturday in a time of 17:11.6. A year ago, Huyler didn't finish the state final race. 

Summit's Hayden Boaz ran a time of 14:49.7 on the way to a second place finish in the Class 5A boys cross country final on Saturday at the Oregon state cross country championships. 

Crater senior Tayvon Kitchen won his second straight Class 5A individual cross country title and led the Comets to the team title as well on Saturday at the Oregon state cross country championships at Lane Community College. Kitchen ran a time of 14:43...

The Crater girls ended a long winning streak for Summit and won their first state championship since 2007 on Saturday at th Oregon high school cross country championships. The Comets scored 55 points and beat Summit by 15 points. 

Emma West was fourth and Brynn Davenport of Crater helped lift the Comets to their first girls cross country state championship since 2007 on Saturday at Lane Community College.
