Heather MacLean of New Balance ran a seasons-best 4 minutes, 6.69 seconds to finish third in the women's 1,500 meters at the USATF Indoor Championships on Sunday in Staten Island. Since Hiltz will opt out of the World Indoor Championships despite winning the national title, MacLean could move in to fill the American's second spot for the 1,500.
