No Mile Race at Camel City Invitational for Matthew Centrowitz and Paul Chelimo

Camel City Invitational meet organizers announced Friday on Twitter that Matthew Centrowitz and Paul Chelimo have withdrawn from the Feb. 1-2 meet in North Carolina due to training setbacks.

It’s part of the game, but #CamelCityElite lost @MattCentrowitz and @Paulchelimo for this year’s Camel City Mile. Both have had training setbacks and will not be ready to race in February. They will both be missed at this year’s event, but maybe next year!

Both athletes had been scheduled to race the mile against Edward Cheserek, who is still scheduled to compete.

The Camel City Invitational will be held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem.
