September 27-29 NCAA DI Summary - NCAA Division 1 Cross Country

#1 Oklahoma State men showed they are still the strongest men's team as they defeated #2 Northern Arizona 29-57. Defending NCAA champion Kennedy Kithuka won by :30 to win his third race of the year.

Emly Sisson and Laura Nagel led #1 Providence women to a 50-85 Victory over #3 Oregon at the BC XC Invitational.  In the same Meet the #12 Oregon men had a dominating performance over #9 Syracuse, #8 Wisconsin, and #25 Providence.  Oregon was led by a 1-2 performance by true freshmen Edward Cheserek and Jake Leingang.

In the 50th Roy Griak Invitational the rising Arizona women took the competition 48-72 over Michigan State.  Shelby Houlihan of ASU won over rival Elvin Kibet of Arizona, 20:36 to 20:49.  #4 BYU took the men's competition 62 to 74 over Colorado State.  Tylor Thatcher of BYU won his second race of the year over Adams State teammates Kevin Batt and Tabor Stevens 24:25.2 to 24:25.3 and 24:28.5.  

Next week is another huge week for competitions involving most of the top teams in the country
