Do you think there was a better solution to the their lane placement. I think the interference with Westlake likely stemmed from the strange format.

The issue is that Dorsey submitted a change in their roster and that change, while submitted on time, did not get into the entries database. The Clerk of the Course did not let the new runner run because they weren't on the roster. Dorsey protested and it was discovered that they did submit the change but the deadline, but it didn't get in the database. By the time all of this was sorted out, the prelims had been run and the 9 finalists were determined.
