Fan Guide to the 2026 New England Interscholastic Indoor T&F ChampionshipsPublished by
By Ron Knapp - Owner-Editor The 38th edition of the New England Interscholastic Indoor Track and Field Championships is slated for the start of events at 1:00pm on Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston. Many of the region's best athletes will use it as preparation for the indoor nationals two weeks afterwards while for others it's their last meet of the season. Top athletes from the region qualified from their state to compete in the meet presented by the Council of New England Secondary School Principals’ Association. State Running Network Coverage Bay State Running, Ocean State Running, New Hampshire T&F and MySportsResults will combine to provide complete coverage, including a live stream of the meet from start to finish with cameras at multiple locations to ensure we get the optimal coverage of the events. We will also be providing play-by-play commentary by a host of knowledgeable individuals. As usual, this service will not require a subscription. Admission by purchase of ONLINE TICKETS ONLY. Schedule of Events: Packet Pickup begins at 11:30am Doors Open at 12:00pm 1:00 p.m. 55m hurdle trials (Girls before Boys, top 8 fastest advance to finals 55m dash trials (Girls before Boys, top 8 fastest advance to finals 55m Hurdle Finals (Girls before Boys) 55m dash finals (Girls before Boys) 1:00 p.m. Shot Put – Boys followed by Girls (top 9 performances from Trials to Finals) 2:00 p.m. Long jump – Boys followed by Girls (top 9 performances from Trials to Finals) High Jump – 30 minutes after infield is done (2 pits –Opening Heights: Boys, 6’01” – Girls, 5’01”) 2:00 p.m. 4x800m Relay – Sections 2:45 p.m. 4x200m Relay – Sections 1 Mile – Sections 1,000m – Sections 600m – Sections Jim Kalperis 300m – Sections 2 Mile – Sections 4x400m Relay– Sections All the above events will be run as finals NOTE: girls will compete before the boys as noted above. Fastest sections will run last. Awards: Special New England Champion plaques will be presented to the first-place winners of each event, including relays. Athletes/relays placing 2nd through 6th in their events will receive medals. It’s not too early to think about your plans for summer training that could include attending the Foss Running Camp!
